Just pondering camper tie down solutions and came across the 'stabil lift', I believe it's called.
This system uses the camper jacks to essentially clamp the camper to the truck frame. This makes the tie downs unnecessary. Big sacrifice here is ground clearance.
What are people's thoughts on utilizing the jacks to anchor the camper to the truck?
Obviously, this would be better for a smaller (7' wide) camper that doesn't hang too far outside the dimensions of frame installed tie downs to minimize lots of side loading on the jacks.
Not trying to recreate the wheel here, just pondering options for tie downs after having to rethink my mounting options on a homebuild.
