Truck Fridge

I've had mine for a few years now, works great. Wished that the buttons that control the temp and the temp read out were on the same side of the cover that opens.

I have had one of the Indel B 50s for a couple of years and love it. Great alternative to the ARB, generally at a better price point. I recently bought a pair of Whynter (same as Edgestar?) 45s because I got them at a great price. The Whynters are bulkier, heavier, and a lot louder than the Indel when the compressor is running. Not a big deal unless you are trying to sleep next to the fridge. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Indel.

What could go wrong?
I've had a TF51 in my Bronco for 5-6 years now......... works great!
The temp display is a couple degrees off from actual temp........ not a big deal.
The latch on the lid is not as secure as it could be........ a strap over the top is needed to keep it closed.

Its funny you say that. It seems most skimp on that aspect of the design. Seems like the compressor and the latches should be the most important parts to keep the temp stable. I don't the long lid hinged side. Seems like there would be more flex compared to a stock cooler design....

The long lid on the Indel works for me because I have the fridge strapped to the rear seat platform in my Dodge QuadCab. Open back door, open fridge, easy. I forgot whose transit bag I ordered for mine (from another brand but fits pretty well) has velcro closures and keeps the lid secure. Have had no problems with latches.

I think I ordered it from AdventureNet RV, but I just checked their website and can't find it. I'll check the truck in the daylight and see if there is a label on the cover.

Modified a SmittyBilt fridge cover. A great cheap alternative.

I use a WAECO cover for my Indel TB41A. The cover was purchased from AdventureNet RV and it fits very well. It's a nicely made fridge cover.

On the other hand - be warned that the WAECO cover for their 51 liter fridge does not fit the Indel B Travel Box 51 very well, because the WAECO version of the fridge uses a different design, that utilizes a sideways opening top cover and slightly different handle locations.

You are correct. I had to cut mine to make the handles fit. Its not a great fit, but I got it on sale at AdventureNet RV so it works. I'll stick with it.

As for the TruckFridge 51, I love it. Great deal.
