Truck Ladders?

Has anyone used a truck ladder on your expedition truck?
I own a Dodge Dakota 4 by 4 crew cab and just bought a ladder rack.
It can hold up to 1000 lbs and wanted to find different usages for it. I got it for 50 dollars and it is stout! So I was looking for ideas.

Does anyone have pictures or write ups to using something like a ladder rack to store parts, gas, roof bed, etc?

And yes this is my first post, so I am very new at this.

I have thought about doing this. You can haul a ton of stuff with a rack this size,bolt on some work lights,driving,and some back up lights. I would recomend puting a expanded metal floor and sides on it.
