Tundra deconstruction

Nice!! make me wont to go get in debt lol. i would have liked to see them put the motor on the dino and see what the hp and torque is after 100k of hard towing.

I wish the disassembly (or at least the presentation of same) was done by an unbiased party. I wonder how much stuff they glossed over.

"Everything is awesome!" from the manufacturer < "Most things were remarkably good." from an independent source.

I do give them credit for including the "It's not a diesel, but..." comment the rancher made. Toyota, the man said it and we all think it: give us a diesel Tundra!

I thought they were going to do that when they yanked it out, it was a little disappointing they didn't.

Thats exactly what I was gonna say. Coming from a mechanics eyes, everything they showed....long enough to get a look at, was in pretty good shape. although the dust on the front main seal is cause the seal was weaping...but that's normal on pretty much any engine especially when running in extremley dusty conditions and really a minor issue.

I would be really interested to see what would show up if a completley unbiased 3rd party did the teardown/inspection

Fluff! What would have been really impressive would have been to leave the truck on the ranch until something major broke and then take it in for teardown/inspection.
