TURN-KEY Expedition Rig. 2021 FWC flatbed Grandby on 2002 Dodge Cummins 6MT

So thats the breakdown, almost 50k for the camper and 70k for the truck and accessories. Dude the rig is nice, no doubt about that, but this is typical "turn key expedition vehicle" "my rig is superior for 'x' reason" mentality and pricing.
So after stewing on this for a minute I went thru all my paperwork on this rig.
everything, including what these trucks (stock with this mileage) seem to be selling for in this market
I’ve got over $110,000 invested to build it. So if you want to say I’m roughly $8000 overpriced, ok, I’m good with that.

Whatever you have to tell yourself man. Your truck valuation is great, probably even a little low. Your camper valuation is fine, considering supply and demand its probably even good. Expecting a 100% + return on your accessories is wishful thinking, expecting a 100% + return on your labor is ridiculous.
Well sure I could remove the labor. Then I’d be selling a pile of metal instead. That would be like telling norweld that they can only charge $1000 for their tray because expecting to be compensated for labor is ridiculous. Would it have sounded better to you if I had just said the flatbed and storage boxes were worth $xxx, instead of breaking down parts and labor? Tell ya what next time you buy literally anything I’d love to see the look on someone’s face when you tell them their product is overpriced because there’s labor included in the cost lol. Get your vehicle repaired, buy a bumper for your truck, pick out a new tv. There is a labor cost built into the price. Oh, and the accessories are devalued accordingly, just like it’s not a new truck.
But hey, whatever you have to tell yourself man.

What you're not seeing, is that when norweld or whoever else is developing a product, their pricing is in line with the market. Yours is not. Like i said, I think this is drastically overpriced but i would be happy to see a sale prove me wrong. On top of that, I'm sure anybody who could swallow the price tag on this rig will be satisfied for a long time, as long as they dont beat themselves up seeing newer well kitted rigs sell for less.

My experience has always been expect to pay or receive 30-70% on added parts depending on choice, quality and desperation of buyer/seller. You (almost) NEVER see people try getting back money on labor. That's assumed out the window and cost of doing business. The rig in question appears to be in excellent condition for 20 years old. I’m not trying to get money back on labor, as worded. I simply broke down what went into the build. I posted raw materials plus labor that was required to build said parts. The 10’ flatbed(something norweld or mits alloy don’t offer) tunnel box, undertray storage boxes, would be valued at around 13-14k ( this is a shared a opinion of the guys at FWC who we showed it with in their booth at EXPO WEST in September) as they are top quality professional build, designed specifically for this camper with a low clearance mount, unlike norweld that is intended for their canopies and are high clearance mount causing a vehicle to have a much higher center of gravity and gap between cab and camper.
I would never assume to get a return on standard labor, like what it takes to mount accessories or bolt the camper to the truck etc…
Anyway, thanks for looking. We built this truck for a truck long trip around the US but after 5 months have settled in on where we want to live, so figured we’d try and sell it.
Rob and Brian of FWC SoCal can attest to the quality and value of this, they’ve both looked it over with a fine tooth comb.

@Backwoodswanderers is basically trying to get somebody to pay them to build a rig after they built it. It may or may not work out. They're aren't looking for a quick sell. The price can always be lowered at later date.

Nice build. Good luck the sale.
Well, not exactly lol. Originally had no intention of selling. But after traveling in it full time for the last 5 months and what we want to do in the future with property, it makes sense to us to sell it. Had someone else paid to have this truck built its a good bet they would have spent quite a bit more than what I’m trying to get out of it. My past employer in Hillsboro Oregon had a labor rate of $135 hr. Most fab shops I know of are somewhere we’ll over $100 hr. I’m not saying this price point is for everyone, but you’re right that I’m not in a hurry to sell it, I don’t have to. I’ll continue to use it when I want until the right buyer comes along, price adjusted with use accordingly lol. And thanks, we do love this rig.

Admin need to do a better job with all these arm chair experts offering opinions on peoples ads. I believe this vehicle is priced fairly. If you are a true buyer go see th vehicle in person and talk with the owner. I've seen plastic fantastic living the van life builds for more money. This rig was built only 5 months ago and is now trim key ready for the next owner. Your rig will sell don't worry about all the experts on this forum. I'd like to see what they are over landing with.

Cheers from ??

Nothing wrong with expressing an opinion to help future buyers and sellers. I've seen plenty of both express appreciation and make adjustments on price or go ahead with a purchase with the aid of member opinions. It's all in the delivery that crosses lines. IMO.
