U joints on back order

Need two new u joints on my 05 F150 supercab 4 wheel drive. and found out that their on back order till September 30th 2012, heard it from the dealer do I have to get a new axle

I would try a good auto parts store. The dealer is the wrong place to try and get parts from and I seriously doubt that you will have trouble finding them somewhere else.

Have you tried Pep Boys or Autozone? There are more than one manufacturer for u-joints so I highly doubt that everyone in North America is on back order. Just saying.

Google "Spicer U-Joints", enter your truck info, and get the part number, then google the part number and you'll probably find a ton of places with them in stock.

yeah i would avoid the dealership for sure on things like that, spicer is good. you could try Yukon as well they make a good quality product
