yeah thanks for all the replies everyone some really good info and conversation. im a bit more comfortable shipping the truck ro-ro or even flat rack as suggested.
This is a good guide for auto parts and automobiles in shipping containers.
For protection from salt(the actual villan is humidity, not salt ) the shipment containers should be ventilated enough to avoid condensation.
Does anyone know of a website or company I can call to get prices of shipping a shipping container across US by rail or sea? I've searched but cannot locate someone where to get estimates? I found estimates for sending by truck by not sea or rail?
