I was hoping some of you could post pictures of where you mounted your rock sliders to the frame to get some ideas.

If you modify the pinch weld you can mount your sliders closer to the body, just make sure your sliders and mounting are super strong so they don't flex into the rocker panel. I recommend mounting 3"x3" or 4"x4"x1/4" plate to the frame where your sliders will be welded to, weld your sliders to that then weld on the largest gusset you can fit from the slider legs to the frame plate. If you weld your sliders directly to the frame you risk frame damage with heavy service. i'll see if i can come up with some pics.

Trailgear sliders with plate and gusset kit. Plates welded to frame. Sliders welded to plates with gussets. Pinch welds notched to tuck main bar higher. Hi lift, and plenty of full force slams. I did mount it a bit close to the body and the flex of the body mounts on off camber situations has contacted body to slider slightly.

Looks like a stock type setup with poly bushings, most auto parts stock them in several lengths.

Thought I would bump this thread as I am about to order sliders and the body lift.

I'm going to be ordering Super Sliders soon. One thing that I'm curious about is if they can be mounted differently if you have a body lift so that there is not a much bigger gap between them and the body. Given that they are bolt-on, I doubt it. Anyone with Super Sliders know?
I went bolt on with mine. I used 3x6x1/4" rectangle and milled off the top. They are getting powder coated right now or I'd get pics. Three mounts, two 1/2" bolt per mount over the top of the frame though the top of the rectangle with round tube spacers. I bought a weld up kit on eBay with pre-bent 1 3/4" round tube and 2" square slider and standoffs.

I was going to build mine but I can't find the time. I ordered the Rocky Road Sliders today. They have to build them so it will be a couple of weeks to get them. I'll put up some pictures when I get them installed.

Has anyone here done integrated rock sliders on their Monty? My 98's rockers are shot and I've been thinking about cutting them out and welding in 2x5x.25 wall tubes in their place. Takes care of any issues with a body lift and gives you much more clearance. A lot of the XJ guys do this on account of their rigs being unibody but I think it's a decent solution for BOF rigs also:

What size did you get?
I'm about to order the Longer ones, I think they are 63" vs 57" - something to do with the Front fender and how far it goes down. My 2005 has Factory running boards so once removed, the longer ones will fit.
