Flagged again. Their blog looks nice and probably a great vehicle, but if they entered the US just by driving over the border with it, they may have real problems selling it here. My casual understanding from a similar Euro Unimog sold successfully last year is that a vehicle “imported” by a tourist driving into the country CANNOT be sold in the US. There is a separate process for importation by a US resident which a foreign seller could follow if they worked with a customs broker and the vehicle was not in the country to begin with.
Our 1985 Saurer 6dm was already 'in country', when we bought it. We bought it through an importer in Arkansas, he had it inspected there by the inspectors, titled and licensed. Easy. Sellers were Swiss tourists.
