Hello you all, its nice to meet Mog lovers.

This is my first post. May I thank Scott Brady, for having the brilliant idea to create this site and forums ?
I also thank Brady for his ethics.

A little about me: in 1991 my wife and I decided to live free. In 1992 we bought a Unimog 2150 L 38 chassis, asked Unicat to build a body plus slide out and left Europe in 1993.
Africa, Middle East, Alaska-Ushuaïa in 18 years, enjoying life, meeting people, discovering and admiring our superb planet.

Now we have found a nice piece of land along the Cordillera, build a log,… I'm getting old and I plan to sell my superb Unimog/Unicat Expedition vehicle, which is still in (unbelievable) top condition.

here is the site which has been posted today : http://newmobileme.com/expedition33v/UNIMOG_UNICAT_EXPEDITION_VEHICLE/

… thx for your comments ;-)

Best, Richard unimog.unicat@iCloud.com

ps I'm sorry for my approximate English, be sure I do my best :)

Wow! I see some graphics on that one taking it to the very top of the most wanted vehicles! Very nice!

Have a list of toys inside and pics (may have missed them)?

I'd like to know how you are going to live "free" in that one.....LOL

All the best....:)

From the ad, the asking price is $240,000. Details about the vehicle condition and lots of photos in the linked site. The vehicle is located south of Mendoza, Argentina

I'm not too proud to admit that if my Unimog camper was at this angle on a side slope,

my pants would not be dry.

A very nice looking truck, and well-equipped. Might be a good thing, temptation-wise, that it's still too new for US importation. (Go for it, you Canadians.)

I have a question about your travels : Could you estimate the fraction of travel that occurs at speeds greater than 50 mph/ 80 kph ? Thank you.

Just need to take it on a four year trip before bringing it back into the US... :)

I wonder what is in the front box on the bumper? Winch? Genset?

4 year trip

If anyone from the states wants to buy it, I'll happily "look after" it for the next few years...

Actually the price is 175,000 Euros - so about $234,000 :)

Its says it has 240,000 km and about 7000 hours on the engine - which works out to an average speed of 34 km/hour or 22 MPH - which sounds about right for a Mog....

Still wondering what is in the front bumper box???

First of all what a fantastic vehicle! My wife and I are selling our house next year and heading out. Initial purchase price is one thing but what were your average living expenses? Did you keep track? What does it cost to travel around the world in such style? Any insight would be appreciated by many I'm sure.

HI ,
very nice contribution. I had travelled Africa in the 90's extensively (2 Years) and ended up in East Africa. Am planning to do a trip like yours as soon as I've finalized things here (hopefully this year).
A Q to your Unimog:
whats the empty and loaded weight, and what was avg fuel consumption?

I'm gonna bump this one because of the great pictures you have taken. Good luck with your sale of such a great vehicle!
