TODAY IS DAY 9 of our 14 day countdown to the start of the auction of this Yellow Truck on 14 Jan 2018.

Death Valley is just one of many favourite places from our 18 month North American road trip. Our high clearance, off-road rv took us down the Racetrack Road there. We caught some amazing sunsets and sunrises over the Death Valley scenery from the comfort of our rv. We had coffee & breakfast at Zabriskie Point & late afternoon tea & cake at the Artist's Palate. What a hell of a life!

TODAY IS DAY 10 of our 14 day countdown to the start of the auction of this Yellow Truck on 14 Jan 2018.

This camper was designed & built by a qualified engineer/ex-tour guide (Africa) who has proven experience in building overland vehicles for Dragoman Overland UK as well as private clients. It is robust, does what we want it to do & soon gets warm & cozy just by making toast!

Today's images are from our trip through the Siskiyou Forest, Oregon, where got stuck in a few snow drifts.

Hows the body roll?
And where do you get this serviced, lots of mechanics refused to work on my 2006 dodge sprinter camper that I used to have. Have you had any trouble finding mechanics to work on it?

TODAY IS DAY 11 of our 14 day countdown to the start of the auction of this Yellow Truck on 14 Jan 2018.

In Baja we spent 12 hours doing only 50 miles along part of the route of the Baja500. Our off-road “shortcut” between Baja Observatory & San Felipe was exhilerating, dusty & tiring & left us with a sense of achievement. The yellow truck has high clearance, off-road capability & gets 15 miles to the US gallon. At the end of this trip over rocks & small boulders, we were glad to put up our hot, outside shower in it's tent to rinse off the dust.

The body roll has never been an issue as the track of the truck is as wide as the body and this gives it quite a wide footprint. This combined with reasonably firm leaf springs (not too harsh a ride) makes it, in my opinion very stable for this type of vehicle.

I'm an engineer and I have worked for 6 years as a diesel mechanic/tour guide for a large overland tour company so I have confidence in my own ability and therefore don't tend to use unknown mechanics at home or abroad. I do all the servicing and fixing myself. The biggest trouble I have is finding somewhere to do the work. As the truck is based on a commercial vehicle, in 30,000 miles I really haven't had to do that much on the road - just valve clearances once, 4 oil changes, all other oils twice, clean and inspect the brakes, daily checks, weekly checks and grease quite often. The trick is to keep an eye on everything so you know your vehicle, preventative maintenance is the key. For anyone planning a long overland trip, basic servicing knowledge makes perfect sense where possible. This is also completely mechanical, there are no electrics on the engine or DPF filters, so it is more simple for a mechanic than the vehicle you mention. No self respecting mechanic should fear a mechanical vehicle like this.

Not so sure what you are doing here really meets the intent of the forum.

Is it for sale right now? If so how much?

Not sure why people are allowed to join up to sell something, even if it’s a really cool vehicle. Next thing you know a car salesmen will be able to join to shill a pick-up with a cap on the back that’s on the lot.
Good luck with the sale, it’s a neat truck, but do it right or stick with EBay
I’m reporting my own post :)

Bumping your 'for sale' post every day to push it to the top is very bad etiquette and on many forums is not allowed. What you are saying is "I am so much more important than everyone else, I should cut my vehicle to the head of the line every day". As 19 of your 21 posts 'contributing' to the Expo Forum have been for promoting your truck, perhaps you are unaware of that.

This thread has been closed because it violates the rules and also is not really in the spirit of this for sale section. If you PM me I will open the thread back up when the ebay ad is live.
