unique UD truck in MN

20 years old and only 26k on the odo, must have been used as an emergency vehicle? It is the right color for a firetruck.

If I used it as my daily driver, I could......

I was told that a small but significant number of crew cab UDs were built on new-build Japanese trucks by a converter in Indiana in the early '90's.
Most of them were for fire departments. This is the first one I've seen in over 10 years. I don't know who put the fuel tank in the middle of the end of the frame rails; certainly not how the off-the-shelf commercial trucks were delivered.

Seems like a good deal for the right person.

Perhaps they just located the fuel there to give it some weight back there now that the back end is off? Typically fire trucks have steps that would cover the entire rear of the truck, and would certainly block that tank.

I think that would make a great truck to build on. The box on the doghouse looks ready made to accept a television! Great for the kids in the back, and nice for mom and dad up front! lol

The cost seems on the outrageous side however. 20K for a 20 year old truck, yes it is in good condition, and maybe I just do not know what I am talking about either, but that seems very high.

The color would be an amusing one for an Expo truck too!
