Vintage 30’ 1984 Avion Travel Trailer

This classic 1984 30R Avion Travel Trailer has been lovingly renovated to be a fully self contained off grid dwelling.

We demolished and rebuilt most of the interior cabinets to increase the livability of the camper (except for the kitchen and bathroom).

We chose an Avion over an Airstream due to how they are constructed. In an Avion the aluminum ribs of the camper body bolt directly to the steel trailer frame (the floor you walk on is floating/ not structural). In an Airstream the aluminum ribs of the camper body bolt to the wood framed subfloor which then bolts to the steel trailer frame. If there is any water damage to the floor of an Airstream it is a structural problem (lots of people have to crane the camper body off the frame to re-do the subfloor). From our research Avions are much stronger from a structural standpoint.

This camper has a solar and battery system that was engineered and assembled by Tiny Watts Solar out of Bend Oregon https://tinywattssolar.com/.

It features the following:

-1155 watts of peel and stick solar panels (custom made for the roof layout of the Avion).
-400 amp hours of ReLion Lithium Ion batteries.
-3200 watt Outback Systems pure sine wave inverter/ charger that is powerful enough to run a table saw or charge an electric car. This system also has a shore power plug so that the batteries can be topped off with a generator if needed.
-New AC/ DC panel by Blue Seas.
-(2) Victron 50A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Charge Solar Controllers
Controllers.

Additionally, we have installed:

-New tankless hot water heater (Girard GS2)
-iSpring 6-Stage Alkaline Mineral 75GPD Reverse Osmosis RO Water System
-All zero VOC (ECOS) paints were used for the interior.
-Butcher Block CounterTops
-New, deep 24” Kitchen Sink
-Copper Bathroom Sink
-Nature’s Head Compost Toilet (all plumbing and black water tanks are still intact if you want to reconnect a flushing toilet).
-Tiny Wood Stove Dwarf 3KW Wood Stove
-5KW Chinese Diesel Heater (heats up the camper in 5 minutes with zero condensation).
-12v 90 liter Whynter Dual Fridge/Freezer
-4 Thermostat and rain-sensing Fantastic Fans
- Pop Up king-size bed platform includes two six foot pull out drawers (one side for shoes, one side for files). On one side of the drawers is a dog den and the other side is more storage.
-New overhead LED lighting.
-New tile backsplash in kitchen.
-New Tires + wheel bearings installed in 2018 with under 1,000 miles on them.

The trailer tows great and is ready for adventure. The quaint design of the space would make for a lovely AirBnB. And if you’re needing a shelter for off-grid living, this trailer is plug and play. Please note, it is a 40 year old trailer, and will require maintenance and upkeep.

Asking Price: $41,750
Location: Los Osos, CA
