i just downloaded GPS Kit HD lets see how it works

I use the TopoMaps app. You download the USGS topographic maps in either high or low resolution. It works with kml, gpx, or csv files. You don't see satellite images, but the mapping is great.

I've tried quite a few apps including motion x....I'm going to be using Gaia GPS now. Works flawlessly so far.

Gaia has crashing issues on large data sets. Beware.

For all following this thread v21 of Motion X GPS is out and has custom maps.... No need to stay at v19

Does MotionX support Geo-referenced PDF maps? I didn't see it looking through your FAQ.

I'm not aware of that ability in Mx. I suppose a question to them is in order.

Avenza PDF is an app designed for PDF. It works well. I some times run it at the same time with Mx.

Thx, I'm using Avenza. Would be nice if they could do it given the other sources they allow... I could see dropping those in a Dropbox and using the public link function to publish to Mx. (Or using them from their original URL location)
