Upper Control Arm Bushings Axle Side Thoughts on POLY vs Rubber vs Johnny Joints

Mine are shot.

What is everyones thoughts on replacements for these.
Im leaning towards the Johnny Joints but they are about 100 bucks more. Any issues I should know for any of the options?

For what vehicle? Stock arms or aftermarket? Poly will transfer a lot of shock to the frame it body and will feel harsh

And a JJ will be worse than poly. Are you rock crawling or driving the highway? Rubber is softest but won't last as long.

all 8 arms are using flex joints already.
my main concern is longevity. Im at 60k and these oems are shot. Kinda leaning towards the johnny simply for the rebuild in the jeep ease. I detest trying to replace the factory bushings. its a royal *** pain.

Poly bushings with limit flex unless used with a flex joint at the other end of the control arm and will transmit a bit more noise and vibration. Rubber will flex a bit more and transmit less vibration, but won't last as long. Flex joints are similar to poly in terms of noise / vibration in my experience, but they'll last longer than rubber and out-flex either bushing. And then there's the Metalcloak Duroflex bushing/joint things, which seem to kinda act like self-centering flex joints.

the duroflex wont work in this application. they dont have a axle side bushing.
I have flex joints at the frame side on the front uppers.
probably gonna go with the Johnny Joints

60k isn't bad for a truck that sees off-road and il lifted etc. yes jj would be easier to service but you'd most likely have to do it more often. But jj would give you best flex and ok ride

the arms are the same design joints so servicing 2 more wouldnt be bad.
Ive had to change these before on a Jeep and its a PITA. the snap ring is much easier to pull than the whole bushing.
Is currie the only ones making something like this?

Johnny Joints and duo flex are rebuildable, the others are not.
