Some guys on Custom Tacos got a Group Buy together for a run of the URD Crank Shaft Pullies. Gadget says that this will be the last EVER run of these Crank Pullies. This pulley has been out of production for a while. After numerous requests from our customers URD has decided to make another run of these crank pulleys. The expected in stock date is September 9th. For those people that would like to preorder a pulley before they are ready to ship, URD will offer you a significant discount. Once they start shipping the regular price will go back into effect. Over the life of this product there have been decreasing demand for it, and this may be the last run of these pulleys URD does. If you want one, you may not get another chance.
For this run the pulley will be slightly different in than what is in the pictures. On the belt drive closest to the engine we will not have the slits cut into the pulley. We are doing this to reduce the cost to you.
URD made a lightweight crankshaft pulley for a desert race team truck powered by a supercharged 5VZ-FE. They wanted to squeeze out every last bit of acceleration horsepower from their race engine.
The stock crankshaft pulley on this engine weighs ten (10) pounds. Our end product weighs just 2 pounds 10 oz. That means the stock pulley weighs 385% more than ours. There are a few Internet sources that claim for every pound reduced in rotational mass of the crankshaft assembly, you gain 2.7 acceleration horsepower.
