used camera gear?

Viggen

Just here...
One of the beauties of being a Pentax shooter is that I can use just about any of their lenses, no matter the date of manufacture. Film or dslr, it doesn't matter as Pentax mounts really haven't changed. I picked up a fantastic 28mm Chinon macro lens from the late 70s I would wager for 50 bucks yesterday. It fits on my film and digital slrs without an adapter at all. Its rapidly becoming my favorite lens.

Do your research, figure out what you want and then get a good used body and a good used lans. Most kit lenses are actually very good (granted I only have experince with Pentax, not the more common Canikon).

I'm a long time KEH customer - never been disappointed by anything I've bought from them. I always use them as a sanity check when buying any used equipment as they quite often offer lower prices than the asking price that most individuals list on their craigslist ads - plus they offer a warranty. There ratings are usually conservative on the condition too.

My most recent purchase from them was a used Canon 70-200 F4 L lens in Excelllent + condition that was priced at least $50 less than I could find it anywhere else.

The 20D was a great camera - I bought one new and got some great shots with it - I think you can get a 40D fairly cheaply now and its also very good. Good glass is way more important than the camera body - my favorite all around lens is the Canon 24-70 F2.8L - it was $1200 new but I use it about 90% of the time.
