Utah area RTT RENTAL???

I really want to buy an RTT, so, at this point I think I need to try one out and see what I think about it.

Does anyone around Salt Lak City Utah rent, in any way, an RTT? Preferably one of the Eeziawn/Mombasa/Camping Lab style tents. I would be willing to try a Magiolina style tent, but I need to give it a try at this point, before I get more into this concept of buying one. I would love to pick one up for this weekend, it is my last weekend before I have to take a buisness trip for a month. So I just want to give it a shot and see what I think about getting one.

Thanks

Brian

Several guys in Wasatch Cruisers own them, but I don't know of anyone that rents them out. Kurt from Cruiser Outfitters sells them but he is in Australia right now. Maybe hit up Paul at Equipt. I doubt he rents them, but he might be able to point you in the right direction. Great guy to work with as well.

Yeah, I like Equipt a lot, from what I have seen and read. I really like their family tent too, but no way I could afford one of those. I need to find myself a nice used job and go from there.

Thanks for the idea. I sent Kurt a PM to see if he had any ideas, I had no idea he was out of the country. Sure wish I could just plane rent his entire trailer set-up.

What about AT trailers? I don't know if they come with the tent, but I know they rent the trailers, so maby they have the tents ontop?

They rented trailers until one went wandering all over the states, then was abandoned. I'm not sure they still do.

no, I think they still rent them. They still have the rental link on their site. And I'm pretty sure their trailers come with RTTs on them.

Needs to get out more
It is worth it to look at them and see them up close.
I originally bought an ARB Simpson, and after a few nights with my family (2 adults and 2 young kids) we realized it was just too small.

After looking at the Columbus and Maggiolina tents up close, and doing some newspaper laid out on the lawn measurements, we went with a large Columbus.

I am sure Paul at Equipt would be willing to let you check out his setup firsthand, as would Kurt or anyone else that has one. Getting a chance to touch and feel one is helpful in making a decision.

Brian, come to the Cruise Fest out at the Miller Motor sports park this Saturday.. There should be a number of RTT's to check out.. We'll have Kurt's Tacoma outfitted with the newest RTT from ARB. I think Paul May will be there, but i'm not entirely sure..

Anyways, if you have nothing to do come out..
