Utah is Rad !

We went almost to the end of the wash - about 5 miles or so - The last 1/4 mile was washed out - we could not exit the wash and so had to turn around. Super fun technical trail through the wash !

I believe that is what we heard that the upper end was washed out and they did not plan to reopen it. We ran the entire trail and exited the upper end in I believe 2019.

Utah is great, looks like a fun trip.

My only request for anyone visiting our beautiful state is to please learn how to poop in the great outdoors.

Please dig appropriate holes or, better yet, carry a toilet and pack it out.

Also, have fun out here!

I ran it about 3- 4 years ago and barely made it through. One section in the wash really gets hammered during the rainy season and BLM is slowwww to grade it.

So I assume that means you started on the Hole in the Rock side? Good to know that the upper end is washed out since I was hoping to do the entire Hole in the Rock-->Left Hand Collet-->Smoky Mountain Rd loop in the spring. Guess we'll just have to go as far as we can!

Wild. Ran it through winter/spring of 2021. No problems if you didn't mind driving on ice, praying it didn't break (somehow missed snapping a pic of the 2' deep potholes).

Yep - came up from the Hole in the Rock side - there is a sign posted that the road was closed/washed out, but of course, none of us saw it until we were headed back out of the wash

Go home kook. ;-)

Interesting. Guess they were able to drive the cattle through without fixing it. Might be a while before they do if that's the case as it's typically the only reason they get to it.
