Thanks HB. That shot overlooking the Potash ponds was taken from the overlook right near the visitor center. I just realized that the view is similar to the poster of a cliff dwelling I have on the wall at home. Were there any cliff dwellings on that trail?

I figured it out, with the help of the "Guide to Moab, UT- Backroads & 4 wheel drive trails" book:)

Cliff Hanger is due East of Dead Horse Point, on the other side of the CO river.

As the crow flies, the 2 spots are close, but as the road/trail goes, it's quite the jaunt!

We did run the 'Long Canyon' trail, which starts off road 313, just before Dead Horse Point.

Now that I know what's over there, I'll do some more sightseeing next year!:coffeedrink:

Thanks!

Thanks for the fine photos. My wife and I got a taste of Zion and Bryce parks. Her dad lives in Cedar City and is getting up there in years,so this fall I think we'll head up again and see the Canyonlands region,Mesa Verde and North Rim. Gotta love those Odyssey's,with the manual trannies. Again, thank you for sharing.
