I decided to start on the wiring. I purchase a 7 pole trailer connector and a few LED lights.
3/4" hole for the button clearance lights.

Daily update: primed and painted. I stripped the coat of black paint and the red powder coating off. Major pain in the *****! Starting to think I should have started from scratch. Not perfect but looks good.

I've enjoyed following your build. I really like what you have done so far.
I like the way you supported the fenders. Did you ever consider using mesh instead of solid metal on the steps?

no, didn't think of that. I wanted a solid step for mounting stuff on and for cutting down on the amount of stuff flying off the tires (mud, rain water). I might come back later with an aluminum tread plate cover to dress it up some though. Also the 18 gauge steel will be slick when wet so a tread plate alum cover might be a good thing.

I had the same idea... got an old trailer sitting around at my dads house. I dont think he uses it anymore. gears are turining in my hat rack...

I got a chance to run the propane. Grommet and p-clamps are used to attach hem along the way.

Ok!, I finally made some real progress tonight! I took Mark's advice, swapped out the copper propane line with a rubber one and rerouted thru new/more P-clamps. I also reran the water line with a flexible line instead of the pex which was too stiff. Also cut the new plywood and mounted the hot water box. I hooked up all connections and voila, it works! I'm very relieved to have it working.

9 3/4 and 1 1/2 inch for the measurements. (I have one for sale 200.00 + 25 shipping continental US. It was purchased with a trailer and never used at all.)

Are a lot of progress tonight! I used marine grade 1/2 plywood, 1/2 x1/2 AL angle, attached with SS CSK screws that are hidden. Not sure what color to paint it though...gray same as the hot water box?
