Utility Body Trailer - Post Build Tour

Awesome build. In many ways I love the design of this style trailer over what I'll be able to accomplish with my M416, when I ever finish it.

What did you have to do to clean and prep?
I'm looking at buying one this weekend and its a bit oxidized and mossy.

Also I read and re-read this build almost weekly but forget if you mentioned anything about having a sort of suspension or buffer for the box and the frame?

I was reading from one manufacturer they include a sort of suspension system to take the flex and movement between the box and the metal frame.
Do you see any issues with flex or cracking since it is very rigid?

I use bar keepers friend to clean everything.
Great for fiberglass.

And finally..........

As I concluded the build, I mentioned I was sizing up refrigerators. I splurged over the holidays and bought my wife the ARB 63 quart (I swear it is for her) from Will at Sierra. I selected it because it is somewhat of a lower profile.

We're about to get gone with it for 7 days and I really hope to swap out these garage/iPhone photos with some centerfold (trailer porn) shots right away.

Below: The frig sits in a box frame (9-ply) and uses a set of industrial slides. The entire box can slide in/out of the trailer with 4 bolts to the frame. We still need a bit of refinement to the straps and to lock the carriage. But it works fine and I want to observe how we use it before we complete (better put: I have a week off next week and didnt get it finished). We have some tupperware that will fit quite nicely atop the fridge.

Below: Attached beneath the fridge is a pull out tray.

Below: The pullout can be used with the frig secured which should allow for on-the-go food preparation.

When you need to get in the fridge, the tray comes with it.

With everything open, it pretty much becomes a one chef operation. And dont think for one moment that that wasnt my end-game from the beginning. :ylsmoke:

Many thanks go to Corbin8or for his skills and shop for this part of the build and much if not most of the entire build.

It's incredibly hard to find a body from a smaller pickup!
I just spent the entire weekend driving from Atlanta to TN to look at one and make it work but only to realize it was too big.

The measurements of yours is from a S10 or Ranger size pickup correct?

Mine is even shorter than an S10 ( I thinks). It's off a mini truck from the 70s. The body is 6'9" long x 5'4" wide. My bud just bought one that's 1' longer and should pull great.
