I'm partial to the fried chicken at the outpost.

My wife had that and remarked on how good it was. I stick to the biscuits for breakfast but had the double bacon cheeseburger and hushpuppies for lunch. They give you a knife and fork with the burger because it is so big.

FYI, the BP at River Rd and 24/27 also sells trail passes. I mention this since sometimes the Outpost get overly crowded and its on the way in from Charlotte.

The roads in black are gravel and graded. However please be mindful of the dust. It gets really bad there. That said, if you have one of those new fangled Discoveries or the like, your "air recirculate" button will be your friend. Keep your windows up when on the gravel.

Us series kids, well, bandannas are good.

I offed this up on defendersource.com, and I'll offer it here for others that may be interested.

While at Uwharrie Safari (in 2 weeks!), I'm going to do an under bonnet schooling for my friend with the TDI RRC on the IP and IP timing. I'm going to pull out my boost diaphragm and talk about the different IP settings for him. I had a thought today that some others that are not familiar with TDI's might be interested in turning it into a front bumper Q&A.

If there's an interest, there are other highly experience TDI experts with way more experience than me that may/could also be there to chime in. I think the club would benefit from informal SME topic focused sessions like this.

If there is an interest, we can coordinate a time, and I"ll even pull my bonnet off. I'm tentatively thinking Saturday maybe around 4ish before raffle and BBQ time starts kicking in.

Thoughts? If there's no interest, then I'm free to do it with the few that have expressed interest at a time that's convenient for just us.

While I do not own a TDI, I'd like to do this just to add to my repertoire of random stuff I know.

Also it would be cool.
