Video and Pics compiled

I'm looking for suggestions on what software to use in order to make "slide shows" with mixed photos and video... Looking to put in a little music and document some trips. Doesn't have to be super fancy, and more importantly needs to be user friendly. I'll likely be using a gopro Hero3 for our video capture.

I was under the impression that our Mac had this software already on it, but I'm not able to find anything of this nature. Suggestions?

For the mac iMovie is the program I use. Just posted my 2012 slideshow in the Best of 2012 thread.
