You bet! We're planning to visit Aklavik too.

That's great! If you enjoyed the Dempster in the summer I'm sure you'll have a blast in the winter. The ice bridge crossings over the Peel and Mackenzie Rivers are really cool but the ultimate highlight for me was driving down the boat ramp in Inuvik and back up the boat ramp in Tuk. Aklavik wasn't in our itinerary though but I remember seeing the turn-off for it.
