Here are a couple of us during a family vacation to northern Minnesota during the summer of 1972. My folk's friends had a mid-60s Jeep Gladiator pickup that we used to go exploring on old logging and mining roads near Ely and the Boundary Waters area.
I'll play. My dads 86. He wanted one "cheap", got what he paid for. Started replacing stuff after a month: New Longblock, aussie-locker in the front, new front end, new gauges, pretty much it has all been replaced except the tranny...cough...cheap.
Taken during a trip to the San Juans in 2009. Going back with my JK this July.
Fantastic photos Dan, I would love to find an early 60's Jeepster in decent condition for restoration. There are a couple on CL already restored but aren't really done original, priced at $20k. I really would enjoy doing the work myself.
