Looks great! I love the wood rub strips too, they look awesome with the grey!

Thank you! The wood was a must. I think they used an oak originally. I opted for some fancy ipe decking planks.

Looks great! I saw this Volvo breadbox in Iceland last week. Not sure what variant it is, but about as breadbox shaped as it gets!

That's a C202 Laplander. They're so very cool! But quite small.

What a thoroughly awesome machine. The pop top is excellent, really useful additional height without messing with the damn near perfect proportions these Volvos have. Tyres and paint a massive improvement also. When does the interior build out commence?

Thank you! I feel very much the same. I love the proportions of the C304. I was hoping for a real slim roof line and I’m quite happy with this.

I’ll be getting to the interior soon. Hopefully this summer. I need to build a rear swing out for the spare and fix one part of the cab. Then I’ll be plugging away at the inside.

Dang! Thanks for that. I haven't updated this much. But there aren't really a ton of updates... Mostly just enjoying this old thing. It's such a blast.

Shortly after my thesis presentation, there was the first annual Adventuremobile Roundup. I unfortunately missed this most recent one (like last week) but it's definitely a neat event
It's at Pacific City in Oregon and is rad. Peep their instagram for this year's photos @adventuremobileroundup.

I had BW loaded. And the scans are mediocre. Hah. Apologies.

Mogfest was that next week. And it's literally the coolest event I've ever been to. It's so hard to explain how amazing it is, but I feel fortunate to have gone.
I tried to take some shots... "tried"

Very cool rig and love the pop top. Something I want to do with my M1010.

Do you have any pics from the inside with the top down? I want to see how the hard wall lay out so I can get some ideas. Debating soft side or hard side pop top. Thanks!

I'll have to snag a couple pictures from the inside.

A buddy made this video. He only made me sound semi dorky.... Haha
You can at least see how the top accordions down on itself at like the 2:00 mark.

Man that thing is a beast! So cool. Love how easy that pop top is. Definitely looking forward to some pics. :)

Hey Bronzit, I think you live near me..... like on the next street over. I will make it a point to say hello if I see you.

Really?? That's funny. Feel free to say hi. I'm surprised you noticed it on here.

Ok upon closer inspection of your thread.....you live in Portland. However, there is a house near me in Redmond Oregon where I swear I have seen this thing parked often.... if not, there is another one in the same OD Green livery. Either way, I always smile when I see one of these things. Very cool.

Yeah! That's me. We moved back to Redmond a couple months ago. Such a small world.

I don't have a ton of "build" things. I battled a lifter tick for awhile thinking the B30 ate a cam follower. But I was able to adjust it out, and it's been great ever since.
Other than that, the Volvo has been pretty damn reliable. No issues. Just fluids leaking. But that just means there's fluid in it. Haha.

Here's some photos. Zane brought his loud ass bike.
