Where it did make a difference was the amount of dust getting on the storage bag at the back, there is less dust then before. Next time we are on a very dusty road, I'll shoot some video of what it looks like when at speed.

I'd consider them just for that benefit! Very interested in seeing your video. Do you know if they are as effective while driving in rain?

I wonder if putting VGs at the front of the habitat would have more effect on drag than at the back.
I just followed the instructions, when I showed the AirTab people a photo, they said there was no point putting them at the back of the cab, due to the bar work etc.

I made a graph to see if there was anything to see, but no luck, just the big fluctuations due to the long highway trips at 100kph and using jerry cans. Even taking a 5 point rolling average doesn't show where any affect of the Air Tabs, which I put on at around 46000km, and now I have a new transmission with drops the revs from 2250rpm @100kph to 2050rpm, so we won't be able to see any change from just the Air Tabs now, but there was no obvious change anyway. I can see the long high speed highway trips. If anything fuel consumption overall have increased as I used to sit around 90kph on the highway in the beginning, and now i've had to set a speed warning at 1o3kph to remind myself to slow down :) (Our national speed limit for truck is 100kph)

Can you characterize how much the dirt was reduced? My camper has a terrible dirt collection tendency to coat the back with dirt as its a perfectly square end, and the entry point, of course, is barn doors in the back.

I researched the air tabs and concluded like you that mpg improvements weren’t gonna happen, but I tried a row across my roof to hopefully reduce the dirt. Didnt do squat for me.

I’m trying to figure out if it would be worth running them down the sides, which I really don’t want to do for aesthetic reasons and especially not on the truck bed sides as the camper sits on the bed rails.

It is hard to say exactly, as we have only done one long trip on dirt roads, but it was noticeably less dust, I'll have to find a photo from our last trip with the AirTabs on, but this photo was after about 2000km through the desert.
