I too plan on attending the September trip. As soon as I can free up the dough I am going to register.
It was a fantastic time. What I really loved about the trip is that it was yet another example of, if I may borrow a term from Scott B, "overland community." Unlike most off-road clubs and large scale events based on a single marque, overlanding is less about the make of your rig and more about sharing the experience of vehicle-based travel with others who are equally passionate. Granted, Vermont Overland is doing this on a rather intimate, local scale, but it's still no less an example of the varied but unified community we call overlanders.
