Love what you have done to your van.
I have come to the same conclusion, a VW 4Motion with the right tyres and well driven, will get to everywhere I want to go!
I looked a MAN Trucks, Unimogs, Landrovers, Sprinter 4x4s to build a camper on but I have now settled with a VW.
Roll on the adventures...
