W640 Interior LED Upgrade

Back in November, 2014 I updated the interior of my 1984 SWB 300GD with LED lights. Some of it was easy, some of not so much. Now I can see the dash at night and the car has that updated modern white look with keeping the great analog VDO gauges.

Thanks for the write up, I wasn't happy with the way my dash lit up. I think now I will order me some LEDs.

Here is another solution without brighten up your chest. Small LEDs around the dials. Not cheap.

Dutch military. Comes in 24V system. I had it swapped to 12V.
A speedo shop made a stencil for me and I had a few more made for myself & friends.
The color is a hair off if you put both side by side.
