I need some help. I tried running my fridge on AC (may had it plugged into 12v as well) the other day and it did not work. I checked the fuse, but it seemed ok. Any other suggestions?
I would double check that you only have the AC cord plugged in, that it still works on 12vdc and that the wall socket does have power by plugging in something else.
The same thing happened with Dad's older model 50L Waeco. From memory I believe that he changed the fuse in the AC-DC transformer, even though the old fuse still looked OK, it started working again on AC once the new fuse was put in.
I am pretty proud of myself on this one. The main fuse by the cord was ok. I had a second fuse and it still would not work on AC. I decided that it was out of warranty so might as well have a peek inside. Using my voltage meter I concluded that power was getting to the inverter inside, but not the leaving the inverter. I took as much apart as I could and discovered the fuse on the inverter had loosen up. I tighten it and everything started to work again. Put it all back together and it is good to go. It sure is fun to fix your own stuff.
