Walking around lense.....What do you use?

I love the wide angles as well. I had the pleasure of taking a trip to the artic last year and that lense made the trip! you just can't capture the vastness with out it.

Keep the thoughts coming, I am already making a short list of lenses to start to keep my eye open for.

As has been suggested it really depends on what you think you'll be shooting on your outing what you'd want to bring.

For walking around I'll either have a wide Tokina 12-24 f/4 or a Tamron 28-105 f/2.8. Both are available for Canon or Nikon. The Tokina is still available and unfortunately the Tamron is no longer being sold. But... you can pick up a used one on ebay for $250 or so.
