I know its a LOONNNGG shot, but I have a few, no A LOT, of Scepter MFCs that I'm wanting to trade for an overlanding vehicle. My top choice would be Land Rover Discovery XD TDI, but I know that's probably not gonna happen. Disco1, Defender, Land Cruiser, etc is something I'm looking for. SUV preferred. This'll be my first overlanding vehicle so I want something dependable but nothing outrageously expensive or in need of tons of TLC (a bit is fine, I don't mind doing an engine swap if necessary; who knows).

A diesel Land Rover would be the tits.

Again, I know it's a long shot, but a possibility nonetheless. All MFCs are in used but usable condition or better, some are even in great shape. Most have yellow diesel bands, some have red gasoline bands.

I'm in central NC but will rent a Uhaul and cruise for the right deal.

I can add cash if necessary and quantity of MFCs can be haggled upon.

PLEASE DON'T CONTACT ME WANTING TO BUY MFCS (unless you want to buy all of them)! I'm going to give this thread a shot and if that doesn't work out then I'll move on to selling them.

The little voice telling you to buy it is the good voice...the one telling you not to is worried that you will be sooo happy with your new purchase and spend so much time having the trips of a lifetime and prepping for your round the world trips that you will forget about him and he will fade off into oblivion a lonely and boring old man...much the same as you will if you listen to him...LOL...

When you're ready to sell them, I'd be in for a diesel one (good shape, please) depending on the shipping costs. :costumed-smiley-007

I'm interested in individual purchase too. I may be in for about ten Diesel ones if the price is right... Need some for my WVO plans!

i can buy those for about $30.00 each around here. I count about 90 cans.

lets say I'm a bit off and you have 100

Thats $30-40x100 = $3000.00 - 4000.00. You've got a pretty darned good nestegg right there.

I'd say that a nice 1999-2001 jeep cherokee, built Suzuki samurai, nice fullsize blazer or bronco, or mayyybe a clapped-out fj80 (at least at socal prices) would be a pretty even trade cost-wise for the whole lot.

I thought it was somewhat outlandish when I first read your post, but honestly for a shop that can resell the cans via their website, and who may have a shop truck/3rd-4th vehicle to send your way, it's not a bad deal.

Thanks for the support. It seems like I'll have to sell them out individually and buy a truck that way; I haven't had too much interest so far...
