Wanted: Ford E450 ex-Red Cross ERV

Although I am running a couple of E-350 ex-ambulances, my wishes down the road would be better fulfilled with a retired Red/White Ford E-450 Red Cross Emergency response vehicle, specifically an example with the wide saloon doors at rear (full width). I have been frustrated trying to find one that hasn't been snatched up by a dealer and priced out of my range. Also, it seems that old ads for them are grabbed and attached to spurious sites that hit you with "critical threat" trolling.

A 7.3 well cared for Powerstroke or IDI diesel would be ideal. No rush, but if anyone has one they decide to move along by spring of '23 I would be interested. Or if anyone can hook me up with one at auction,I would be grateful.

I've been looking for the same. Best search process I've found is to use Google images. I search for "Red Cross E450", then click over on the images search. Then I click on "tools" within the google search page, which enables a "time" functionality. I then usually search for hits within the "past week" or "past month". I've been doing this for over a year and have a folder with links to units sitting on dealer lots. Still waiting for prices to drop a bit more. This process eliminates old units, and then I don't even bother clicking on the consolidation sites. Not a magic bullet, but a process that helps reduce some of the frustration you've described.

These things are awesome. A clean low mileage one would go for under $10k before the "vandemic". You are correct now that they get swopped up by dealers then put up for sale for $30k. The one that UJOINT did is rad.
