Look at modifying a fernco fitting. Get a ten inch ID one, center a3 inch at the other end, and bind them together somehow. No bellows though.
So is there just a typical U-joint in there and not really a CV joint slinging grease all over? Since they don't rotate I would think that would be the case....
A split boot can seal up very well - there are even glues you can use on them - their life may be shorter however than a non-split type but that is usually not a big deal.
I wonder if one of the roofing plumbing vent rubber bellows that are "cut to fit" might work - lots of choices there... They even offer silicone ones that are able to be used with high temperatures and that last longer - something like this:
