Look at modifying a fernco fitting. Get a ten inch ID one, center a3 inch at the other end, and bind them together somehow. No bellows though.

So is there just a typical U-joint in there and not really a CV joint slinging grease all over? Since they don't rotate I would think that would be the case....

A split boot can seal up very well - there are even glues you can use on them - their life may be shorter however than a non-split type but that is usually not a big deal.

I wonder if one of the roofing plumbing vent rubber bellows that are "cut to fit" might work - lots of choices there... They even offer silicone ones that are able to be used with high temperatures and that last longer - something like this:

WOW! This actually might be the ticket… & orange looks awesome too…lol. Seriously tho…. this may work very well. The actual rotating CV boot is behind this. This part goes from the hull to a greased fitting on the half shaft keeping water out of the hull. Ideally I would do another on the inside off the hull to the axle housing itself. Another non-rotating bellow or even flat & glued neoprene as the inner hull part as it is not linked to the suspension or moving parts… just a good secondary insurance measure if the outer boot gets torn. Ok, off to google land I go. I have a good feeling about this and the price too! I shouldn't have to worry about UV/weather issues either! I might be able to even stack them for a "double outer boot"…..

OK…. off to the roofing contractor supply warehouse I go. Let's see what Kind of side to side flex these puppies have… hope this works! Cross my fingers & wallet!
