Is there an upgrade option to a synthetic line?
No, Synthetic line would be an option you would have to do... such as Viking or Master Pull.

Wil, will these mount into an ARB bullbar?
Yes, they will fit in an ARB since they have the same mounting point pattern of 10.0 in. x 4.5 in.

Yea, will the VR10000 fit an ARB Disco2 front bumper?
Yes, the VR10000 will fit in a DII ARB

For comparison:
XD9000 Winch Dimensions: 21.8" L. x 6.3" D. x 7.6" H.
VR10000 Winch Dimensions: 20.8" L. x 6.3" D. x 6.97" H.

Wil,
Can you explain the primary differences between these new models and their original models?

thanks.

Basically, Warn is updating the M8000 and so on. So with that said we'll compare the VR8000 with the M8000.

There is three major differences according to our Warn rep, Electrical pack, Motor, drivetrain. The M8000 uses a contactor Pack for the electrical controls where the VR8000 uses the traditional Solenoid Pack (like the M8000 you would buy a year ago). he VR series uses a different motor and drivetrain. Other differences are in the finish like the black tierods instead of the polished.

Wil,

I can handle that one.

The VR series has different motors, geartrains, remotes, and finishes versus the WARN Premium series winches (e.g. the M8000, M12000, etc.). Also, the VR series utilizes solenoid control vs. contactor control on the rest of the new WARN winches.

EDIT: I see Wil already answered that. Thanks!

So is solenoid control vs. contactor control better or worse?? And will this motor overheat faster and shut down(this is the problem I currently have with the mile marker installed on my rig)

Thanks

Wil. Do you have these at your shop? I have a winch cradle that used to hold a Warn M5000. I'm wondering if it will fit. Marcus

From what I have basically seen the contactor is more reliable. As far as the motor goes, I am under the impression that these will not overheat faster and are the VR8000 is very comprable to the M8000 that you could have purchased a before the improvements on the new M8000's.
