Water Gas trailer holders

I have two different trailers both Dinoot one their J-series and a M-series. The M-series is a modern copy of
the M-416 trailer with a tailgate. I usually carry ten gallons of gas and ten gallons min of water in 5 gallons
containers. I had always just placed them in the bed of the trailer. But room was tight. Especially when I had
a firepit, firewood an 80qt cooler and stove propane and other stuff I couldn't live without. So on a trip last
month with a friend we were up north a ways and it started raining then hail and finally snow. On the way
back south to a warmer climate I stopped to put in the fuel in the truck. I pulled out one container and
instead of sitting it on the ground, put on one of the rear steps so the container would not get muddy. I saw
that I could free up space in the bed.

So not having ever seen a holder for that type of jug I made a base of 2 by 1/8 inch angle iron.
I used my meager welding skills to weld it together then trim and paint. Drill some attachment
holes. Figure I need to hold down the jug with some straps and I was done for the protype.

I did think I should add an encircling band up a ways from the bottom to make it
hold the jug better. But I was also looking for a holder for some specter jugs and
found BWproducts.com. Their carrier looked better than my stuff so I ordered one
to check it out. Due to my location it was 2 inch too tall so I lopped off the base and
put mine in. Forgetting about the 2 inches I left it too long but shortened it to fit.
It can be locked which is a plus. Here you can see it on my painting table. Caught my
mistake before painting it to match.

Since it worked better than my design I ordered a second and modified to fit my
application. Of course everyone is out of the paint I needed but it will work black
as well as if it were satin oregano. Was a nice guy to work with. If you look on the
website the carrier has a two inch base but if you want a flat surface you wan either
weld a plate to it or two wings off the 2x2 inch base.

Now starting on some carriers for specter water cans. Out of paint so haven't put the carrier straps
on at this point just the main body. Didn't even try to make them myself just forked over the plastic.
Ordered them from Jerry Can Mount - 5 Gallon (4xinnovations.com) . Put one on each side so the
trailer is balanced. Will update pictures when I find some paint and have the straps on. Have both
water can and specter gas cans
