Lets see your water systems especially those with under trailer tanks. I know I've saw them in build threads but haven't been to able to find them with search. Thanks
my system is simple but looks complicated, due to the frame design i have a pair of 6 gallon tanks joined together, you can see the strainer and the pump and accumulator are inside the box. The filler and vent are RV parts and the outlet is a cheap hose bib from Home Depot, easy peasy.
Thanks that is the kind of info I'm looking for. I'm looking at a 21 gallon tank and it looks like everyone is use straps out of slat stock for mounting.
I mounted a 48 l tank under the chassis. The trailer, a M416, has SPOA, so enough room under there. I installed a manual tap pump in one of the fenders. Also the filler point in in the fender.
I have a 31 gallon tank made and installed by Adventure Trailer on my Jumping Jack, complete with armor, pump and spray nozzle. I will post pics when I'm back from holiday. It has extended our outback times quite a bit.
a flojet demand pump and a 16 gal ebay water tank i have a water spigot on the driver side of the trailer enough for me and a buddy for 3 days including hot showers from the tankless propane water heater not pictured. it was done on the cheap but works well, if you cant tell im a cheapskate. lol. i never did put a fill port in it, i might some day i just ziptied the fill host to the vent hose and called it a day, i stuff a plastic bag in the hole after filling lol it works.
takes up more room than id like inside the trailer, but id rather not have it outside, dont really have much room outside of it to mount it either.
Here's my contribution. It's a 20 gallon tank. Here shown with the frame flipped on it's back. The tank sits directly over the axle. I received a bit of flack on here for using the nylon straps, but after many thousands of miles of road and trail they have held up well. I dropped the tank last spring just to see how things were holding up, no signs of wear or damage.
I havent gotten around to installing mine yet because i havent finished building the trailer. But here is a video of how my water system will work Including tank. I think it may be easier to understand for you if you are curious to know how it all works. https://youtu.be/bX1OsRGGpzk
21 gallon mounted over the axle, used an old metal shelf and angle iron. RV fill/vent, shurflo pump and an on demand hot water heater. The heater and plumbing are removed for the winter.
This is my 31 gallon tank on the underside of my trailer above the axle. (pretty poor pics).
I have to give a shout to Martyn and Mario at Adventure Trailers for working with us to build this. With the pump and the spray attachment we have a life of ease at our remote campsites.
