Water Tank Mounting Question

I'm planning on putting a 15 gallon water tank under the 4Runner where the old spare tire was located. My question to those of you who have a similar setup is how have you mounted your tank to the vehicle? I could possibly build crossmembers that hold the tank in place, and could then build a skid plate under those for protection. But that is a lot of work and hoping to find something more simple. Any ideas?

Many pop up and travel trailers have their water tanks hung under the floors. It might be worth swinging by your local RV dealer and seeing what works for them and get some ideas for your own install. Basically I am thinking a strap system of some sort is going to be the best.
But since I can't see your exact situation there might be better ideas.
