Spent a night in Tombigbee National Forest which is in north Mississippi for those of you that aren't familiar (most of you I would bet). There aren't a whole lot of public lands with dispersed camping like this in the Southeast so it was great to find this site!
You can't exactly tell in this picture but our camp was actually on a pretty decent hill. This region of MS can be somewhat hilly, compared to its southern and central counterparts at least.
Trips like these remind me that you don't need fancy gear or a spectacular destination to go enjoy the outdoors. All you have to do is get up and go!
