In my travels today, I came across this... I passed it in the morning and at first glance thought it was a Bedford... Some of the original Dragoman Trucks were Bedfordshire that looked like this...
But on the way home, I stopped for a look... and realised that it was a Merc lurking underneath the living body.. It has the older axles (from the bull nose era), and a straight 6 engine. The Transferbox looked similar to the one under my 1222. Wheels are 8 stud, with widened 20" split rims, shod with Michelin XZL's.
The vehicle looks to have been about for many years, and has prob done several laps of Australia.. Currently sat on the side of the road reasonably local to me. Anyone know anything more about it? There was no one about to ask..
It has a reasonably long wheelbase, and the same front axle as mine... 8 stud instead of 10. The axles were not portal.. If its still there next week, I'll grab some more pics!
