The best thing about the OEM can holder is its an original Mitsu accessory and not sold in the US so you won't see too many of them around... Scratch that... You won't see any others in N.America...

The worst thing? It's not sold in the US so you'll have to find a way to import one from the Middle East where they're quite common.

Aargh! Seeing all those brand new Monties and accessories brings me to the fine line between inspiration and deprivation. From what it was, to how it could be, to how it should be, to what we can't get.

I take comfort in an article by Scott Brady, on vehicles available locally vs abroad, where he writes about how we tend to desire the things we can't get and fail to appreciate what's locally attainable. At least that was the gist for me. Sorry if I butchered that, Mr. Scott.

In any case, I carry my spare fuel in a 4 gallon Rotopax ratchet strapped to the roof basket.
