great area, i do the hammock and it works really well. i use an infant size inflatable pool to float my stuff.

18 lbs....you lucky hombre! Last time I was in that neck o' the woods (Bear Canyon) I was carrying a combative head injured female on a backboard with a 45lb. rescue pack.... :snorkel:

Very nice...I've read some of Jardine's stuff before. It makes you realize just how little we really need to live and enjoy it out there. Things can become awfully cluttered quick.


I like light, but I am more comfortable in the 40lb. range...I like my flask, amongst other things... :)

nice stove,,, i have a similar setup with the soda can stove idea. i can keep my pack in the 22-25 lbs range, minimal but comfy.

My pack comes in around 13 pounds for 3 days. Then after camera equipment I am back up to around 20.
