well here it goes....first i'll give a little background on what happened to make this trip possible. origionally the girfriend and i were kicking around vacation ideas, we had talked many different places, and were planning a trip to europe. as we progressed it became apparent that it wasn't going to work. so we thought maybe a trip a little more close to home. somehow after talking it over we were thinking oregon? how we came to that conclusion i couldn't tell ya, but we started running with it. after looking into some sights to see (+ feedback from you guys and gals) we had an idea of what we wanted to do.
the plan involved seeing many sights and travelling around quite a bit. so naturally i wanted to have a 4x to get to those wonderfull hidden places. i cruised craigslist for a few days and had a number of potential rigs that would (hopefully) make it throught the journey. one in particular stood out from the crowd, as well as the seller helping by meeting me at the airport with the truck. this changed the plans a bit, at first we were going to fly into portland but the truck was in idaho. luckily not but 35 minutes or so from the airport in spokane washington. so that was our new arrival point.
the truck a 1995 land rover disovery, v8 manual, lift kit, bfg mt's.
truck was just as the seller described and we were in bussiness. we (i guess i should say we = myself, Brad. and my gf shannon.) started through washington, towards the coast then to astoria or and down the coast. i will let the pictures tell the rest of the story, i love to cruise the pictures myself and think i have rambled enough already. summed up it was a great trip! tons of fun only bummer was a few mountain passed on the route were closed. gps=new route. anyway enjoy.
