San Juan River, NM: Feb 16-19

Chiricahuas: May 4-7

You going fly fishing on the San Juan? I might be in the Chiricahuas the same weekend or the next. I've still not found a trogon there.

James Bay? Sweet, I've been researching that off and on over the past couple of years. Only roads that I found were coming up through the Quebec side. Doesn't sound like there is a whole lot to see once you get there though. What is your route/plan?

Where are you located? You must be somewhere in my neck of the woods (east of the Mississippi and north of the 40th parallel. Some of those trips that you mentioned sound very cool. I'd love to hear more about them.

I'm up here in (believe it or not) sunny New Hampshire :( A few of my friends did the James Bay trip last year (was in LR Monthly a while back) of course work got in the way so I'm going to do the trip probably on my ownsome at the end of the year (07) when the snows back again. I haven't got hold of the route information yet but will probably be using the same route that the LRAAO folks used last year. Only planning on camping rather than doing the hotel thing.

From what I can make out there wasn't a great deal to see - but sometimes it's just the journey and not the destination.

Hi Jeff

if you end up heading towards James Bay,stop in and see me in Montreal on the way up!

I'm not very interested in snowy expeditions, but if you get out in the spring/summer for a few weekend ones in the NE of the US,please let me know, perhaps I can join you.
No one in the Montreal/Quebec area seems very interested in expedition travel up here:26_16_2:

Hi Paulo - absolutely. BTW there is one guy I know up your neck of the woods who's well into expedition travel he has a Land Rover as well :D - Also check out landroveradventure.com there's a few folks from Montreal that are definitely turned on to the whole idea of expeditioning.

I'll let you know once I have some trips organized.
