Nice indeed ;)

Man KAT 8x8 trucks are great, I love them... (just as much as the Tatra T-815)... even if it's surely way too big for what I want.

Here's another container with slide that I found (apparently around $50-55K):

Too bad the floorplan isn't really well done and there's a lot of wasted space. But there's still some good ideas thought:

By taking the best of each system and putting everything together, I might end to something good (at least for me) ;)

Yes Victorian,

I saw this one. I did watch almost every single model from Unicat & Action Mobil (sometimes just to check how they did their layout, etc...)
Actually, that's not a bad idea design, because both the truck and the cabin can fit in a 40' High-cube Container.

Dirt Track Traveler
Don't know much about commercial truck stuff, but . . . we do have a 6x6 truck camper (RV reg) and a 6x6 cargo that pulls a live-in trailer.
I've always preferred a rig & trailer combo. It gives me a working truck and a place to live. Tuff's truck, the RV, has to pull a trailer for anything not in the "house", is loads taller, weighs more, etc. Even so, my plan is to by a truck in europe, add a box, build it into a camper, and leave it over there.
I don't mind having stuff in multiple places :) Of course we are just small money dirt-bags that don't mind living a lot outside and think that a 12'x8' box is enough for two people . . . well almost ;)

If I have all my basics in a rig that's already kitted out all I'll need to take is a backpack & my laptop, and I'll just need to stock up on some food / water/ fuel when I land.

But that's just my way B-)

The more I think about it, the more I believe the 6x6 is what I need.

I also thought about the trailer and that's actually something I will consider (but just for short travels in Europe and the US, I wouldn't use it anywhere else... it's just a side project that could actually also happen once I'll have the truck). In my case, the trailer would be the "working place" (a small mobile recording studio) and the container on the truck would be the "living place". But that's not my priority now...

I'm gonna have a look to find the right container first and then have it modified the way I need (for the slides). There's a lot and lot of choices for that, so I'm gonna take some time to be sure it's all good. And if I will find the time, I will do some 3D CAD design about the whole container... to have a better view of it.

Thanks mog, that's nice and pretty cheap.

I will definitely spend more time on government liquidation when it's gonna be time and when I'll be sure of what I will use.
There's so much things I need to study first. I try to avoid any major mistakes we can do when we're rushing out

I'm new to this, so I need some tome to process everything ;)
