Fun maintenance stuff!

Regarding the lift, I have a 2.5" OME lift on my XJ and love it. When I did it (3-4 years ago), OME was the best one out there for the suspension lift. However, check out Rough Country. They seem to have made huge strides in ride quality over the last few years and are less $$$.

Also, I'm running 32" tires on my rig with the lift and the only rubbing I have is at full lock. I've done quite a bit of trail riding without any issue whatsoever.

Cool, thanks for the info! Looking at the kit,it does seem decent and the price is right too. I trail mine, but being realistic,it's maybe 10-15% of the time compared to on-road have-to's,so 32's will be plenty for mine :sombrero:

I'm heading ove rto my pop's house in a bit (he has brake tools that I don't,plus it's time I get to spend with him) to do all the maintenance (unles ssomethign comes up on his end, otherwise I'll just do it here). Ordered a roof rack today, among a few other small tid bits. Here's the rack I ordered (based on size, and experience with Curt products I have, not to mention great price,LOL :p )

Wow...fast shipping (it was apparently shipped from Knoxville,TN which is only a coupla hours away,so...),got the new roof rack in around 7:30pm this eve,and had it installed* by just after 8 (too dark for my camera,so pics tomorrow). I didn't realize that my rear rail's release button (that allows it to slide fore and aft) was broken, since I'd never used it,so it's mounted in the rear most position for now. I like it,but I dig the closer-to-full-length-of-roof racks better,so I'll order it's 2' extension later this month. Now to go find my HiLift jack, axe and shovel to mount up there (cause last time I trailed, coulda used all 3,LOL :p ) :)

*mounting hardware for the fairing on the front was missing, may not install it,may rig something solid up to mount it
