What do you all think of the new Gen6 4Runner Trailerhunter? Overland master?

This thread reads like an infomercial, I'd rather have the Bronco.

Everyone's different.... :)

Sure there are plenty of people who would rather have X or Y manufacturer and that's why they're all out there..... I really became excited by the 4-Runner so that's why I made this thread.

I remember my folks had a Ford back in the late 1980s - it was a Fiesta 1.1. Not even a stereo.... we added one in and two seconds later it got stolen. After that we got one that was removable and even had a cassette player

This is the first ever proper journey experience I had and first time making a video too (which I loved):
at 4 mins in was my first ever 4x4 experience...

It's very expensive for what it is, at the price point the GX550 makes a better value proposition.

we had a 4runner TRD Pro, bought it new in 2020, at that time the price was already high, but borderline fair, fast forward to now, the price is insanity when you consider a Ranger Raptor is CHEAPER, a Tacoma Trailhunter is same price as a F150 Raptor, and I've driven them both, you would have to be insane to buy Trailhunter over a F150 Raptor for the same price.
Must be a reginal thing. Around here (Canada) base F150 Raptor is about 25K more than a Trailhunter.

Either is an insane amount of money to pay for a truck to me.

It is regional!!!

put Tax on at 40% then the GBP to USD exchange rate: 50,000 x 1.4 x 1.2 and you get around $84000 USD - that's FROM: price

No Taco over here but Hilux in 2.4 or 2.8 Diesel (Blaaa yuk!!!)

Screenshot at 2025-02-13 21-09-16.png

That's around $50k USD....

I'm basing this on an old exchange rate of 1.2 - no idea now?

Unlike the Tacoma and 4Runner, you don't get vented seats or power seats with memory either in the Hilux..... I don't even have memory seats in my IS250 which makes it so annoying after sending the car in for it's yearly checkup as they always push the seat back then when I try to readjust it I feel so uncomfortable :-( (it's probably just a quirk of my ASD making me hyper sensitive to things like that but it's still annoying)

I'm in Ontario, there's about 10x Brand new 2023 F150 Raptors available, they are all around $95k mark.

Ranger Raptor is $83k.

I think my list is outdated, I had thought Canadian Trailhunter was 90k before taxes, either way I feel its insane pricing, consider base GX550 is 86k, AND no luxury tax.

As for Lexus.... it's a joke and makes me wana cry 😭

Screenshot at 2025-02-13 21-22-05.png

That's as "off-road" as you are gona get!!

I drove an NX and was crap, I also had the chance to drive a CT which was even worse! - small engines that are waaaaay under powered and the hybrid system is just awful....

Again way spec'ed down from the rest of the world for the price!

It was funny at the time arguing with the dealer about the IS350 F-Sport with LFA style moving bezel instrumentation... they hadn't got a clue so when I showed them the website of Lexus USA they just simply freaked out and didn't understand anything

Just my luck...always wrong place and wrong time LOL
