What do you use to protect your investment?

Like the title says. What do you use on the trail and around town? I think my best bet to protect my new T1i on the trail and keeping the dust bunnies out is the Pelican 1400. I don't see myself hauling that case around town though, so what's the next best case for the street?

Serious travel I use a pelican, ie shipping my gear from country to country

for normal travel and expo's I use a lowpro bum bag with cam wallet and knife etc within

I have had a computrekker plus aw now for a few years I take with me pretty much everywhere everyday. The weather protection really came in handy on a long hike at Chaco Canyon when the rains kept sweeping through.

Near distances I use a Glock 21SF. Intermediate, an AR-15. Long, an M14 and very long a Barrett.

Oh, for my cameras? I keep them in a padded bag. If I kept them in a Pelican, I'd never take any pictures.

I trekked about Europe with a Lowepro Slingshot200 and it was great. For you needs the 100 size would be great for your gear. Easy to access your camera quickly without having to remove the pack and has a built in waterproof cover.

After I bought the Lowepro Vertex 200 and find that's just too bulky for practicle trail/city use.

I clip the Stealth bag to the front of my driver's seat. The camera is always available, easy to reach, and never in the way.
